Our Accommodation


We now have three holiday cottages – all rated 4 stars NEW Chatsworth Cottage sleeps 2, Dove Cottage sleeps 2/4 (now ready after major renovation) The Lodge sleeps 2/6 - situated in a lovely part of the Peak District National Park near Bakewell. The cottages lie on the edge of the tranquil and unspoilt hamlet of Little Longstone just a short walk from the well known viewpoint of Monsal Head.

  Weekly terms for The Lodge range from £278 to £599 per week. Short breaks from £140. Weekly terms for Dove Cottage range from £248 to £520 per week.  Short breaks from £125. Weekly terms for Chatsworth Cottage range from £230 to £420. Short breaks from £115

The Lodge

The Lodge sleeps 2-6 + cot. It is in a delightful south facing position approached by its own drive and enjoys outstanding views.

The original building has been extended  to  provide  comfortable, roomy, split level accommodation.  It may  be suitable for  people  with  limited mobility.

On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, a twin and a double. The shower room has a shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet. Upstairs there is also a second bathroom with bidet. There is now a third twin bedded room which can be used by larger parties (up to 6) There is a 25% supplement charge for using this extra bedroom.

An L-shaped kitchen/ dining area with fitted limed oak units adjoins the lounge which has a log burning stove and french windows opening onto private gardens and the surrounding countryside.

  The Lodge has gas central heating (the first £10 of each fuel is included (£5 for short breaks), a first supply of logs is provided and there is a DVD player/radio/CD player and TV. One pet can be accommodated by arrangement. No smoking inside.

Dove Cottage
 Now available after major renovation. All facilities have been upgraded, whilst maintaining a country cottage style.
Dove Cottage sleeps 4 + cot. It is a two storey cottage adjoining Chestnut House which has its own entrance and largely faces away from the main house so it is not overlooked. There are views over the fields to Longstone Edge and towards Bakewell and Chatsworth.

From the driveway and garden you enter the cottage through a stable door into a hallway/dining area. This leads into a separate kitchen with views over the garden. The modern unfitted kitchen units house an electric oven and halogen hob, a dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer. The lounge is at a higher level and has a beamed ceiling with comfortable seating for four and a log burning stove.

The stairs lead to two cottage style bedrooms (one double and one twin-bedded) and the brand new shower room has a corner shower unit, toilet and washbasin. Dove Cottage has gas central heating (the first £10 of each fuel is included (£5 for short breaks), a first supply of logs is provided and there is a DVD player/radio/CD player and flat screen TV. No smoking inside.
 We will accept 1 dog in Dove Cottage by arrangement and smoking is not allowed inside.

Chatsworth Cottage
 From the driveway and garden you enter the cottage through french windows into a spacious open plan kitchen/dining area with stunning new logburner. Impressive spiral staircase takes you up to large tastefully decorated bedroom and bathroom with bath and electric shower over. Can accommodate a couple (super kingsize bed) or 2 single people (2 single beds).

     
  Chatsworth Cottage has gas central heating (the first £10 of each fuel is included (£5 for short breaks), a first supply of logs is provided and there is a DVD player, CD player/radio and TV. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric double oven cooker, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. We will accept 1 dog in Chatsworth Cottage by arrangement and smoking is not allowed inside.
